I am a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Sleep Technologist. When I fit a patient I have 20-30 masks to choose from, but I can honestly say this is top 2. It rarely if ever leaks, even when my patients are rolling around from side to side throughout the night. Seriously, this thing never leaks AND the best thing is that the mask actually works better when it is a little LOOSE. It creates a seal that literally sucks to your face. No marks from a tight fitting mask in the morning!!! Patient's love it.
Like the above user, I found this mask (the earlier version) a few years back. I've tried all kinds of masks over 10+ years I've been using a CPAP. My setting is very high (18) and there is no other mask out there that I've found that doesn't leak other than this one. The bellows technology on the sides allows the headgear to remain loose as well, so I don't have to go to work with lines across my face. This mask is hands down the best I've tried.

This is the mask I use. I have a beard, sleep on my side/ stomach, use and apenea pillow and have a hose lift. It is missing the hose release of the Activa and does not have the silicone leader hose and extra swivel. That helps when tossing and turning and prevents crushing. The biggest drawback to this mask is that at least for pressures of 6 to 7 it will whistle because it has a hard polycarbonate very fine vent holes. This noise although not loud wakes me up and requires drying out the inside of the mask.
I have used a CPAP for about 10 years. In that time I have tried several different masks. About five years ago I found this mask (earlier version at that time) and fell in love with it. It is actually comofortable to wear and doesn't leak.

I originally bought this mask when I first purchased my S9 Auto. I purchased the medium and this mask is like a house sitting on my face. The reviews are accurate about it not leaking, but it is just too big. The silicone cushion is really nice and comfortable, but when its compressed against my face, its so big that the extra silicone expands and covers my mouth. I ended up replacing it with the F&P 407, and I am very glad I did as the 407 is about half the size of this mask and is so much more comfortable to wear. If you dont mind having a mask that covers a large portion of your face, then this mask might work well for you.

The forehead dial has made a difference in adjusting the mask. the mask is no longer too tight and leaving marks on my face. I just adjust the dial once the mask is on and find the right position, Perfect.
I tried 3 different masks before this one. I actually gave up using my breathing machine for about a year. But because I was waking up so many times a night I finally did some more research and ordered this mask. It is the ONLY mask that has worked for me. I am a side sleeper and toss and turn at night. The mask does not move around, it is totally comfortable, it is quite, and best of all it never leaks air. I would give this a 5 star rating hands down. For those of you who are side sleepers, this mask is the best. I also bought a PAPillow brand pillow for CPAP users that is terrific and a flannel covering for the hose that I love! It is so soft. Hope this helps everyone out there!
