It is very comfortable but the seal has much to be desired. It comes loose if you turn over wrong. When Resmed did the Quatro, they did a good job with the clip that held it in. they need to find some way of holding in the seal better. Otherwise it is much more comfortable.

I have never felt compelled to write a review before now. I have been a regular full-face ResMed Quattro user for 3 years. I wore it for the results...not the comfort. The forehead pad was annoying and the silicone mask would end up sweating in the middle of the night and cause leaks and burp noise. And, the bridge of my nose was always red in the morning when I went to work. I saw the Quattro FX full face mask and it made sense to me with no forehead piece and a better design on the upper nose area of the mask. I've used it along with the Remzzzs Mask liners and I'm a new man! NO forehead marks, NO red bridge of my nose, and NO middle of the night leaks! I'm giving the FX 4 stars because I think it could be a bit larger and I have the large size. Thanks for the new design ResMed and the great service from Cpap Supply USA!

This mask is a great start but they need to improve the headgear and the seal. The headgear does not have enough adjustment on the upper strap to prevent leaks. I had to modify the strap to shorten it so I could pull it tighter. Also the straps put pressure on my top ears wear my eye glasses sit causing them to become very irritated. As for the seal, it does not stay connected to the mask if you move at all. The top of the seal comes out of the track in the mask and leaks big time. Also the insurance company only pays for one cushion per month but I have found that the after just 2 weeks it seems to leak more around my nose and the comes out of the track more often. Like I said it is a great start but I am ready for a Quattro FX2.

That mask is light and fits well at the nose but the Large size is still too small at my mouth so that at night the mask slips into my mouth and I wake up with a gush of air. The mask needs a bigger size vertically and a chin strap or a curved part that would fit under the chin to prevent the mask from moving up.

This is the second full face mask I have used. It is much better than the Respironics comfort gel mask. It should be called Uncomfortable gel. This Quattro FX has a couple issues. it rides up and the cushion needs to be replaced too often. The cushion is good for a couple or three weeks. It needs to be made of a little heavier flexible silicone material. It is a lot better than any of the nasal masks because I don't know anybody with apnea that doesn't breathe out of their mouth a portion of the time. Someone could get rich if they could make a mask that would work well for even 10% of the people that use them. I will keep experimenting until I have tried them all. Manufacturers need to have a try it program, or at least make them affordable. I can buy a flat panel TV for what a mask costs, and it is more than molded plastic and silicone. They are extremely over priced, and we have no choice.

This is a great mask. Like any product product made for the masses there is always need for adjustment. What I did to customize my mask was to take a sweat band and wear it so it covers the ResMed word in the front. It did 2 things for my. 1 stop the mask from riding up. 2 put the slightest pressure on the middle of the mast which fixes any leaks. I have tried several mask and this is the best!

Contrary to the sleep technician's post, the problem with the seal isn't due to my cleanliness. My face is clean and so is my mask. I don't use anything but soap on my face and dishwashing liquid on the mask. I clean the mask in the morning and I wash my face before I go to bed. It's not that the seal leaks against the face. The seal leaks where the flexible pillow fits into the hard plastic track. I wake up and the pillow is completely out of the track, air blowing like mad through the opening. This started happening the second day I had it. When I washed my mask, the pillow came out and has never fit properly since. If this problem is truly user error, then ResMed made a mask that requires rediculous maintenance. Come on. Admit there's a problem instead of expecting people to be unreasonably perfect. We want to sleep and we're following all the directions. ResMed - you're making money while many of us still aren't sleeping.

very good mask but they have to do someting about the seal

I just got this mask and it is much better than older full face mask that tore up the bridge of my nose. I'll see how it goes over time.

This is one of the better masks that I've tried. However, the headgear is junk and needs serious modification. It rides right across the top of my ears and sometimes causes sores. Also the cushion needs to be made to last longer. A soft gel cushion would be nice for this one.

Great mask for beginners. Once you have mastered getting used to all this equipment, you might want to go to something that is not so confining, like a nasal pillow mask. Whatever works for you, stick with it.

I hate the Quattro FX. It leaks and burps air. I thought the problem was that the mask is too large for me. However, after reading all the other reviews, I think it is a systemic fault. Boy, that was throwing money down the drain!

I like the fact that it gives you more vision while reading but the seal needs a great deal of improvement. I haven't had a good night's sleep every time I've worn it. Went back to the supplier and he adjusted it and it still didn't mhelp. Some times the air just blew through the seal.

My husband says this is a comfortable full face mask for him. All I care about is that he's sleeping a whole lot better now that he is using CPAP. I can get a good nights rest too!

Great mask to start in.

Pretty good mask and a lot more comfortable than the one with the bridge between the eyes. Does have a small problem with the seal at the top of the nose. Still, if you adjust it once when putting the mask on, it is fine.

Horrible mask. If you can handle constant air leaks into your eyes every time you slightly move your head (regardless of how tight or loose the straps are), then this mask is for you! Ridiculous that one of the pricier masks is so poorly made.

Long Time C Pap user. New machine and mask recently costing me $1200. Mask is a disaster waking me every night with leaking near nose. Have tried usual remedies without success. Very annoyed that i am going to have to spend more money on another mask!!

I used a Quattro with a CPAP. Coould not sleep woith it...After another sleep test, I was changed to an Auto PAP. This was better but not good. When my supplier changed me to the Quattro FX with the ResMed APAP, I have been sleeping good with no problems. And I have used the FX and same silicone mask since August '12. I will see my supplier this week to get a new silicone mask. I clean my face with Nivea Face Scrub for Men and clean the mask with Citrus CPAP Wipes...it all works for me

Same problems as many of the other users. For one, the large size is not quite large enough. Two, the headgear, and every replacement I've got since I bought the mask, stretches out way too fast and makes the mask impossible to use. The design of the mask (the upper strap mounting arrangement)curves upward and tends to pull the mask upward and off the bridge of the nose. Once the bottom straps get the least bit loose, the top straps pull the mask off the nose and up into the eyes. I've used CPAP for 16 years, and the design is definately better than some masks I've used, but needs some improvement.

I have no problems with the mask.No leaks and is very comfortable. The problem I have is with the head gear. It digs into the back of my neck and makes it VERY sore. This wakes me up after just a few hours of sleep.

This mask is rather good but i needed larger headgear than the one supplied with my medium mask. I keep seeing posts about the seals wearing out but my sleep tech told me not to wash it every day like they recommend as it put more wear4 and tear on it than necessary. Once a week a medium warm hand wash with antibacterial soap and it should last at least 2 months.

I am a new CPAP machine user. Had mine for about 2 weeks now and have been using this mask. During this time, I have not been able to have a goods nights sleep due to air leakage at the bridge of the nose. I wash my face prior to putting on the mask and have experimented with the headgear straps all to no avail. After reading the experience of others, I am inclined to think that there are some design flaws with the seal. I will be contacting the supplier for another model.

Please the people who are writing about the seal. Clean your face, wash the oil away from the cushion. Trust me the oils from the skin will breakdown the mask. Use non scented soap. I uses the same cushion for 5 months. Just clean it. This mask is a 5 star. I am a sleep technologist in a sleep center.

I am a new CPAP user and I was nervous about wearing a mask. I must say that this mask is great and does not feel clostrophobic. I sometimes leaks at the bridge of my nose and cheeks when I place my head on its side. I am glad this is a good experience because i stopped breathing 72 times per hour and hd an oxygen level of 58.

what a piece of junk the mwsk pushes up into your eyes and leaks Arund the bridge oF MY nose when i lay on my side AND THE STRAPS DIG INTO MY EARS I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE AGAIN OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM RESMED

The replaceable cushion (seal) is the key to the effectiveness of the mask. If there's no seal, the mask is useless. Mine last 5-7 days then must be replaced at $54 each ( $226 / month)! That's A HUGE DESIGN FLAW ResMed folks! I'm looking for an alternative mask but the ResMed is the most comfortable. It just doesn't work like it should.

A good full face mask that eliminates the pressure point at the bridge of the nose. Seal has been pretty good so far, just a scattered retightening required during the night. To improve the feel around the bridge of the nose, the forehead strap and brace are eliminated. Without the forehead brace for sturdiness, the hose does tend to pull at the face mask slightly (depending on hose position). Overall all the best mask I have used yet, but I am still early in my mask wearing days.

Very Quite Mask. Can get a good nights sleep without the noise.

Love this mask . This mask allows me to read before going to sleep. Love not having the forhead pad.
Great mask to start in!
I am very happy with the mask.I wash it on Sunday hang to dry and it doesn't leak at all.I wipe the inside out daily with a 1 to 3 part vinegar mixture for sanitary reasons.I love the air holes on the nose part. I do have a brand new gel mask and will never have another one. Thank-you for making a mask I can sleep in. (Even on my belly.)
