The auto-set feature for air pressure does not seem to work correctly. I awakened this morning, feeling some air coming through, but so little I felt air deprived and had to remove the mask. A couple of nights ago I forgot to check the humidifier level. During the night it ran dry. When I awakened it was very warm, not hot enough to burn me at that point, but definitely overheated. The machine-generated report said the humidifier was functioning well - a smiling face icon. I had my CPAP supplier check to see the machine was operating correctly. They said it was, but to me it is not. There should be an overheat sensor on the humidifier. The machine should generate a report indicating all is not well if the humidifier is out of water. I'm not sure what is causing either problem, possibly unique to my particular machine. Would like to contact ResMed Technical support, but no success in reaching them at this point. The CPAP supplier told me to contact my doctor, and I have done so.
