SoftX Technology is standard on the Polaris EX CPAP machine. Named after the soft exhalation sensation it creates, SoftX makes breathing with CPAP feel natural and more comfortable for patients.
The Polaris EX CPAP with SoftX has a simple contour design and silver color which provide a contemporary style to appeal to patients and fit nicely in their homes.
The Polaris EX Heated Humidifier fits easily on to the front of the Polaris EX CPAP, has a temperature adjustment and has a water chamber that is dishwasher safe.
The Polaris EX CPAP has a touchpad, located at the top of the unit, which provides convenient access to simple operation and set up for both patients and clinicians.

The Invacare Polaris EX CPAP with SoftX is designed to be integrated with the Invacare Polaris EX Heated Humidifier. The ISP5000 is a kit that includes both CPAP machine and heated humidifier to ensure the highest levels of CPAP therapy comfort for the most economical price. The Polaris EX machine also includes the comfort exhalation feature SoftX. Designed to provide relief each time the user exhales, the SoftX feature allows your body to "rest" while breathing out.

It is very loud compared to the machine I used at the sleep center. Will try to find a quiter one

i scored one of these for a spare machine, in case my girlfriend and i have a spat and i need to spend a couple nights at my house. my other one is a res med. they are both set at 10, but the polaris seems to sleep a bit better. sure, it's louder, but not as loud as a nagging woman. could that have anything to do with better sleep? hhmmmm,,,, either sleep machine is a godsend, i had 87 api's, and a 67% 02 level. i'm lucky to be alive, that is if she doesn't read this!

This machine is a little larger than I thought. I wish I had bought something else. Maybe next time.

This machine does not record or report efficay data. I will only use a machine that is compatible with user software which reports a timeline showing how many apneas and hypopneas I have and at what time. The software also shows mask leak and it is critical to have this info to control your therapy. I give this machine a thumbs down. It is what is known as a brick.

this machine has made the difference between the wife and I sleeping together. After using it, it has given me many wonderful nights of sleep that I had not enjoyed for a long time.

I have used this machine for about 3 years now and have had some of the best years of sleep in my life. I actually look forward to sleeping at night as this makes me sleep like a baby and I have so much more vitality and energy now and have lost about 35 pounds as a direct result of this device and my added energy levels. I wouldn't be without it and just recommend that you clean the water holding tank as recommended and also the flexible tubing and face mask. I run mine at full strength right from the start as opposed to cycling the air flow and I fall asleep quickly.
