The machine has too many defects to make it effective. The instructions are complicated and the working of the machine is more complicated then needed. The noise level of the goodnight 425 is too loud and when you inhale there is an extra noise added. To use ear plugs as one technicians suggested is ridiculous. Finally, the machine heating element did not work right as extra hot air blew into my face through the mask and nearly started a fire because the bottom became superhot. I burned my hand picking it up as well in order to prevent a fire. I returned the dud aka goodnight 425 back to national wide medical the machine was a big disappointment. But I understand its track record stinks.

Worst pap I've ever owned in 7years. Don't upgrade from the Knightstar 330. The 425 ONLY provides an inspiration duration of 2seconds. Triggers are worthless. Too small and lightweight. System reset after reset.

Worst "pap" I've ever had; that's every brand out there in 7years! Upgrading from the Knightstar330 was almost a big mistake. My DME swapped it for my old 330. The 425st Inspiration duration is max. 2seconds. Not nearly a ventilator. The triggers are virtually meaningless. It's too small and light weight, the proverbial tail wagging the dog w/o a humidifier to hold it down. Too many "system resets" as well. The display lists icon's instead of the respiratory acronyms.
