Features

  • ActiveCell Technology allows more active sleep with fewer air leaks, and there is no need for tight CPAP headgear.
  • The CPAP cushion has an inflatable chamber that compensates for movement in any direction.
  • Convenient CPAP cushion clip snaps on and off for trouble-free mask cleaning.
  • ActiveCell CPAP cushion technology provides an excellent seal without tight headgear so you won't experience pressure sores and discomfort.
  • One Snap CPAP mask Elbow allows quick and easy removal of the air tube while the mask is still on.
  • Flexible forehead pads conform to the contour of your forehead for improved comfort and seal.
  • Adjustable forehead support with four position options optimizes CPAP cushion seal, decreases pressure on the bridge of the nose and increases stability and comfort.
  • Quick release CPAP headgear clips improve convenience.
For CPAP patients who are active sleepers, the ResMed Mirage Activa nasal CPAP mask has proven to be an excellent choice. This mask is also great for any CPAP or BiPAP users who have pressures higher than 12cm/H2O. The Mirage Activa Nasal CPAP Mask uses ActiveCell Technology to automatically adapt to the changing positions of active sleepers. It allows the mask frame to move independently of the cushion, which helps the CPAP cushion stay in place and maintain a seal during movement at night.

The 4 point CPAP headgear and the quick release elbow makes this a perfect CPAP mask for those who frequently get up at night. For proper fitting of this mask, tighten forehead headgear straps and leave lower headgear straps loose. After adjusting the headgear, the pressure from your machine will "inflate" the ActiveCell Technology CPAP Mask cushion providing an excellent seal.

ResMed remains the leader in CPAP mask and CPAP interface development. They always apply patient input to everyone of their CPAP Mask designs.

amazing mask, but definitely one of the more expensive ones out there. I was recommended this mask two years ago by my homecare company because I have a mustache - they told me it would be the best mask for me (something about "active cell"?), and it really has been! Even though it is much more expensive than some of the other masks, I am afraid to try anything new as it fits like a dream and causes no sores, pain, or headaches. A little bulky for side sleepers, but one of the best fitting and sealing masks I have ever owned.

This is my fourth mask and the best! A family member, who is a sleep tech, recommended this mask. It is perfect. No problems.

I have tried a lot of masks and this one beats them all. It almost fits perfectly right out of the box. I move around a lot at night and this mask stays in place perfectly. There are no constant adjustments to stop leaks.

I have used the original mask that came with my unit for about 5 months. It leaked and was very uncomfortable. I was able to somewhat reduce the leaks by tightening the head gear but that made thing even more uncomfortable. I was awakened (so was my partner) many times during the night due leaks and having to re-adjust everything. Since I purchased the Resmed Activa Mask & Headgear, I infrequently awake from sleep. The unit is super comfortable because it can be left loose without leaking. The cushion rests against my face without chafing or binding. Overall I am really very pleased with this selection. It has made a world of difference for me. The restful sleep I now have, more than justifies the cost. It's a great product.

This is the most comfortable mask I have ever used and I tried a lot of them. It allows me to sleep in a lot of different position without leaking or leaving pressure marks. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I like this mask. However it does not come in a small and the bellows portion slips and I wake up with my mouth stuck to the bellows portion. It has a neat feature that you can remove the hose without removing the mask and disturbing the seal when you get up to go to the bathroom. Also it comes with a silicon leader hose with additional swivel that helps prevent the hose from being crushed and adds flexibility. I have a hose lift and apnea pillow, have a beard and sleep on my stomach/ side and this mask will stay on and sealed. The one other thing to note compared to Activa LT is that the exhaust port is silicone and does not whistle when moisture condenses like the Activa LT

I have to say this is the best mask I have ever used. I have very bad sleep apnea and the air pressure I have to have is 14. So finding a mask that will not leak is hard to find. I was having to tighten the straps so much before to try and prevent leaks that my face had impressions on it half the day. This mask has changed all that. All I can sleep in any position comfortably. You get what you pay for and it keep on giving the benifits every night.

I HAVE TRIED A NUMBER OF MASK FULL AND NASL EVEN THE PRONGES AND ALWAS AT NIGHT WOULD WAKE UP BECAUSE OF LEAKS. WHEN I GOT THIS NASL MASK I SLEPT LIKE A BABY- NO LEAKS- I COULD TURN OVER AND STILL NO LEAKS. IT SEALS SO EASY WITHOUT HAVING THE FEELING YOU WHERE TIED DOWN TO TIGHT- EVERYONE NEEDS TO TRY IT AND YOU WILL NEVER WANT ANOTHER KIND OF MASK

I'm a BiPAP user at 18/14, with full beard & moustache. Tried this mask almost 4 years ago, and will keep buying it as long as the mfgr keeps making it. Yes, it is bigger than some - but it seals to my very large face perfectly, and stays on regardless of my tossing in the night. one other point - I'm a high volume breather (very high vital capacity), and the larger size of this mask is a positive thing for me. This mask scavenges exhaled air very, very well, leaving me with a low, comfortable percentage of rebreathed air. The newer Activa, with the microports in the mask itself, does not work as well for me. It does not scavenge exhaled air fast enough, and it is much harder to clean: the old mask unsnaps from the hose, so I can immerse it daily and take no more than 5 min total to clean the mask; the new one requires I actually unsnap the cushion, and only allows for immersion of the cushion rather than the whole mask. The screw in/screw out forehead rest is sturdier, and gives better positioning, but overall I strongly prefer the older design.

Works great for me, no complaints. Great feel and fit. Used this mask for several years, just keep changing out the cushion as required and I'm good to go.

I don’t want to wear a mask. However, I don’t sleep with out one, even naps. I thought I would try to find something different, (looking for the perfect mask), That didn’t work, two weeks later I was back to this mask and got some much needed rest. The only real draw back I have, is that I have to adjust the top strap frequently. I would recommend that, if you haven’t, give it a try.

I have tried others .... I now only buy this one and am now on my 7th Mirage Activa. I tend to move a LOT in the night and this sucker just sticks with me.

The hose comes off and parts keep coming off in the middle of the night, awakening me and requiring that I use a flash light to put the mess back together. This happens 2-3 times a week

Like many others...tried a few masks with poor to unworkable ratings. This mask is great! From the first night the mask has stayed in place, few too no leaks, few to no face marks. What more do you want from a mask!!!

I have been a BiPap user since 1997. I've used at least half a dozen different mask styles not to mention the nasal pillow type that hooks on to your teeth for support, epic fail. Four years ago a sleep technician offered this mask in a new sleep study. It was amazing. I started using it immediately. No leaks, no more bridge of the nose sores. I'm a side sleeper with a mustache. The light touch seems as if it would be impossible to seal. Wrong! Turn on your pressure, mask inflates, toss and turn to your heart's content. There's an LT Activa out there now that touts quieter, simpler and more compact, supposedly. Just not sure how you get better than this one so hmmmm.

I purchased this mask on 2 June 2007 and gave it a good couple of weeks for a proper review. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the quality and value of the mask for the money. The mask itself is much larger than the standard mask that originally came with my CPAP machine. The mask is also considerably heavy and bulky making it extremely uncomfortable. I thought it was the way that I had the mask fitted so I went through the interactive CD that was included with the mask...still did not help. The only positive aspect that I found with the mask is the inflatable cushion. This mechanism does allow you to move more freely without breaking the seal of the mask. However, the adjusting elbow and and other numerous parts of the mask squeek so much when you do move that it wakes you up anyway. In summary, I am getting ready to order another mask as this is definitely not worth the money that I paid for it.
