The Innomed Hybrid CPAP Full Face and Nasal Pillows mask is designed for CPAP users who have had difficulty with traditional Full Face CPAP masks. The Hybrid design combines nasal pillows and mouth cushions to provide the comfort and proven reliability of nasal CPAP interface systems and the convenience of a full face CPAP mask. This CPAP mask is perfect for those who love the nasal interface, but don't want to wear a chinstrap to prevent mouth leakage. This one product serves as a combination of both a nasal interface and an oral interface. The Hybrid eliminates all pressure points on the nose and allows patients who enjoy reading or watching TV, to do so before going to sleep.

CPAP Mask comes with 3 different sizes of both the nasal pillows and the oral cushion. This is a complete package that will fit most anyone. The Innomed/Respcare Hybrid Nasal CPAP Full Face Mask is designed with multiple sizes; initial fitting may take more time and patience than a traditional Full Face CPAP Mask or Nasal Pillows System. Replacement pillows and oral cushions are available in all sizes to increase the length of use with your Hybrid Mask. This CPAP mask is good with both CPAP and BiPAP therapy and can be used with a variety of pressure settings. This Hybrid CPAP mask can also be used with any manufactures machines.

Product Reviews for the RespCare Hybrid Universal Full Face CPAP Mask and Headgear (HYB500)

I was forced into a full face because I tend to breathe from both my nose and mouth. After finding the most of the other models on the market to be too bulky, I decided to give the Hybrid a shot. It is by far one of the best Full Face-alternatives on the market right now.

I ordered this mask based on the reviews. I received it yesterday (05/01/08), and used it for the first time last night. I am totally satisfied! I only woke up once briefly during the entire night. I have no pressure marks on my face, and no irritation in my nose from the nose pillows. In fact, this the first mask with nose pillows that did not cause irritation or pain. This is also the first mask I have not pulled off during the night--and tossed across the room! What a blessing! If you have had trouble with other masks and headgear; you need to try this!

I find the Hybrid very comfortable.I would give it 5 stars as my pressure is 8/16 and not many masks work well for me. The fact that this site has insurance would allow me to try a product without fear.

I am hard to fit and have tried almost every mask out there. I have to admit that this Hybrid is a wonder mask. I like that my pressure feels lower with this mask. I'm sleeping 8 hours for he first time in 3 years.

I was unable to use a full face mask (Fisher & Paykel Forma Full Face CPAP Mask) that fully covered my nose. Due to a narrow nose bridge I could not get a good seal. After months of frustration I ordered the RespCare Hybrid Universal Full Face Mask and it worked! No pressure at the top of my nose or my check bones, no need for an additional chin strap, and a better fit. Not as claustrophobic. Had to make sure I use “ramp up” when starting the machine or my ears popped when the safety valve closed! I had to tighten the straps on the top of my head to get a good seal with the nasal pillows. A little irritation on my upper lip but expect that to go away after long term use. Getting a good night’s sleep!

very different concept for me to try (I am a full face mask user) but it seems to work well, so far. I get a little bit of irritation around my nose if I use all night, but other than that, it is pretty good. My pressure is 9.

After using a CPAP machine for 18 months and going through 4 different types of masks and $$$$$$, I have finally found the best mask ever!!! I love the nasal pillow masks but since I have chronic allergies/nasal stuffiness, I also need a mouth option too. After using full face options that kept leaking into my eye and causing pink eye, I decided to try this hybrid model. I absolutely LOVE it!! Because it comes with so many different sizes that you can mix and match, you can find the exact fit! I had dealt with a local home medical supply and I would try on a mask in their store and think it was a great fit, but once home and using several nights, I always find out where the bugs in the mask are. Not so with the Hybrid! I have been using for 2 weeks now and am not disappointed! Definitely worth every penny spent! I just hope they continue to produce this product for a LONG time!!!!

This mask fits well, with no irritation points. I tried several sizing combinations before getting the best fit. I have tried 7 other masks: 3 nasal only, 3 full, and the ResMed Liberty hybrid (size small of that hybrid was too large for me). This mask is far better than the others for me. I have small features, and I need coverge for both my nose and mouth. I do wish this mask had better durability, though. The mouth cushion and nasal cushions appear to soften, age, and not seal well after a couple of months. Also, the headgear strap is not well made so it is getting floppy after about 2 months. The velcro tabs are flimsy, and they should be narrower than the band they attach to, for less abrasion. I also wish that the headgear had the shape of a simple circle with four branching straps - the headgear covers more of my head area than I would prefer. That said, this mask is lightweight and it is by far the best one I have tried. I'm staying with this one.

THIS MASK WAS WONDERFUL THE FIRST 2 WEEKS THEN I STARTED HAVING DIFFIUCLTY KEEPING A SEAL AROUND THE MOUTH. THE INSIDE OF THE MASK STARTED TEARING. THE NASAL PILLOWS AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS BEGIN TO LOOSE THEIR SEAL OR COMING OUT OF MY NOSE. I HATE THIS BECAUSE I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND A MASK THAT WOULD WORK WELL FOR ME.

My two biggest problems with finding a good fit with a mask are that I have small features and I breathe through my mouth. I've tried several different masks but I keep going back to the Hybrid. (I tried the Liberty but the headgear doesn't snap securely into place, so it doesn't stay on my head!) I'm always tempted to try something new, but I ALWAYS end up throwing it out and going back to the Hybrid. I will admit that it does take a little while to get the headgear straps adjusted just right (and you usually have to re-adjust after washing it) and to figure out the right combination of mask size and nasal pillow size. But it's worth it in the end.

This is\was my first mask. I have a full beard and sleep with my mouth open. The Mask fits great and I sleep like a baby. I also like it because I can put on my ready glasses and read myself to sleep.

Hate this mask! I never could get it to seal properly with the nasal pillows. I tried different sizes. I will go back to my full face mask which is more comfortable.

This mask has a lot of promise but it is not sturdy enough. The seal and nasel pillows are so thin that after 2 nights I went back to my old mask. Great Idea, Poor execution.

I like the nasal pillows, but am a mouth breather. I thought the hybrid would help. I like the concept but am having trouble with leakage when I change positons. I am new to this CPAP am not crazy about having to wear a mask, but will continue using the hybrid.

I have used the resmed hybrid successfully for a couple years and decided I better have a backup. This one was cheaper so I went with it. What a mistake. I had to put it on quite tight to prevent leaks and I only use 8cm. Very uncomfortable. They give you 3 sizes of cushions and nose pillows, but in reality the variation is minimal except the width of the mouth and diameter of the nostril. If you have a tall chin like me, forget it. It is really a crime we have to spend big bucks for these masks and cannot return them. The $120 spent represents and entire days wages for me and I doubt it cost respcare more than a buck.

Had a problem getting this mask to stay sealed at first, there was too much moisture building up causing it to loose it's seal after a few hours. Tryed it without the water option, made very slight adjustments to the head band. Now it works great!

I always used the nasal mask but recently started mouth breathing at 2 in the morning. Problem solved. I did't give it 5 stars because I have to tweak the fit about once a week, you have to disconnect both bottom straps to put it on or the mask can dislodge from the headgear. Not perfect but a great mask and you can mix and match the mouth and nose pieces for a custom fit. I recommend it.

When I saw the ResCare Hybrid Universal Full Face mask, I became very excited. The chin part of the apparatus appeared to ensure that the mask remains in place rather than “riding up” as occurs with some other masks like the ResMed Mirage Liberty. I began treatment for apnea almost a year ago and haven’t missed a single day using my BiPAP AVAPS and have tried a huge assortment of masks. ResMed produced every single mask that was even partly acceptable including the Mirage Quattro, Quattro FX and Mirage Liberty. Partly because of reviews on this site, I ordered the Hybrid and was totally disappointed in its performance. In fairness, my prescribed pressure of 26 cm/water is extremely high so any mask used is subjected to substantial stress. Because the BiPAP AVAPS is only capable of delivering 25 cm/water, I use a setting of 24 cm/water. I simply could not achieve a seal with the Hybrid. Leaks occurred around the perimeter of the mask and I could not get the nasal pillows to seal either. I did try all 3 sets of nasal devices and ensured that the large oral cushion was the proper size. I also tried liners that I use with all other masks. Still no success. The ResMed Mirage Liberty is by far the best mask tried to date. If ResMed would revise the mask by adding a chin support portion similar to that provided with the hybrid, it would truly be the ultimate mask. Anyone with questions about my assessment or the basis can write to me at ronlsujones@gmail.com.

Was a wonderful mask in concept but has leaking issues. Nasal pillows do not stay sealed and I continually woke up with irritation on my chin from the mask. Thought I had found the mask for me but after a week of not sleeping well at all I will be placing it on the shelf and going back to my full face mask. I am a mouth breather and I thought this would be a great answer to the pressure point marks from my old mask but even with a humidifier attached to my machine I still would wake up from a bloody nose.

I have a a-symmetric face. I have all full-face masks tried. The Hybrid 500 mask is the only thing that gives no leakage and no skin irritations.

The oral part of the mask was comfortable, but the entire mask seemed to leak air. There was especially leaking where the nasal pillows were attached. The hiss of air kept me awake and the constant leaks made it ineffective. The nasal pillows were also very uncomfortable. I wish there was a way to plug the nasal pillow holes and just make it an oral mask.

i have had trouble getting fitted for a full face mask. i saw this online and ordered it. the first one i got kept coming apart. i returned it and tried another. works wonderful. comfortable, stays sealed. i really love it (as much as one can love a cpap mask). my face is petite and this one fits the best. the nose things took a little getting used to, but i finally figured out how to make them stay put. i have used it about 5 months now and am still pleased..if you buy one, get the $35 return insurance so if you dont like it, you can return it.

Purchased this mask recently and have used it for about a week. It was comfortable from the first night. The choice of sizes is a big plus! This is the only mask I've used that seals properly without having to over tighten. There are no sores, no redness anywhere! This has now become my main mask. I actually look forward to bed time again!

This Hybrid mask solved my nasal area ulcer once and for all. I was set up with the Hybrid for the first time wile in the hospital and it has probably saved my nose. CPAPSUPPLYUSA has a very good price for why you get when you order outside the hospital. You get 3 sizes of pillow sets and three mouth cushions with the chin area support which is vital to the success to this type of mask.

Really great mask. I love my regular Fisher and Paykel Forma Full Face mask, but when I developed an infection on the bridge of my nose, I just couldn't use it. So I ordered this mask as a "get me through 'til it heals" kind of thing. However, I like it so much, I will continue to use it in rotation with my other mask. It is very comfortable, easy to fit, and does a good job even at higher pressures. I only have two complaints: I wish the silicone was a higher grade and a little less sticky... lint and hair stick to it pretty bad. The headgear also needs some kind of quick-release mechanism. It's pretty difficult for someone with limited use of their hands to get off and on easily compared to other masks' headgear. Overall, worth the money and a good buy.

Purchased this based on reviews and I must say, I am to date, very disapointed with this mask. I have tried other face masks and find them restrictive for a good night sleep when it comes to night time moving for comfort. Nasal pillow devices have proven to be much better in the comfort department but seem to not have the proper airflow (perception on my part??) The good, once you follow the instructions for fitting, this device can be work at night and not cause headaches from the tightness of the headgear as the design allows for placement in proper positions. AIr flow ig good with the nasal portion compared to other nasal devices The bad, you can hardly move throughout the night due to mask moving and the leakage this creates. The leakage on this mask is very noisy, noisy to the point that it will wake my wife from a sleep. Pressure is 9.

I have been wearing a full face mask and I would get a red spot on my nose. I tried all kinds of things to do to get rid of the redness and found nothing. Also my mouth and throat would get very dry to. I ordered the hybrid mask received it on 5/30/2014 now I have no more redness and no dry mouth and throat I am so happy that I have this now it took a couple of nights to get the right fitting for my mouth and nostril. This is well worth the money.

this mask comes close to being perfect. however, i have trouble keeping the nose pillows sealed. it is a comfortable mask. the rest of it seems to seal very well. now, if i can solve the nose pillow problem, i'll be all set. i will keep tweaking it. i dont think there is a better styled mask out there to try.

Grate Mask! I am on my second Hybrid mask in 9 months. I can sleep 8 to 10 hours easily. I have 6 other full face masks that don't work or cause soreness around the nose, Including a ResMed Hybrid that I thought was very good until I tried the RespCare Hybrid. My pressure is 11. The head gear needs to be redesigned, the Velcro straps on the RespCare Hybrid are to wide and cause abrasion's around them and the straps do not fit around the back of the head as designed they seam to be to large even though I use a large mask and pillows. My main disappointment on this mask is the air inlet elbow when turned up toward the headboard to get the air hose out of the way is then in front of the air exhaust holes and causes a lot of wind noise that also disturbs my wife. The holes need to be relocated on the sides like the ResMed Hybrid. I found by using a little body lotion on my face before I put on the mask it helps with the seal and some itchy feeling's. The mask is still worth a try for nose and mouth breathers like I am.

I am definitely a mouth breather after nose breathing slows or sinuses get stuffy. I purchased this base on reviews and fact chin strap was built in. Did an oxygen level test overnight and kept me in the 90's. Con: The silicon chin support does not prevent me from opening my mouth which causes the nasal pillows to drop slightly. Made tighter adjustments and put my old chin strap back on to assist. Still wake up after 6 hours with cotton mouth. Drink some water and back to sleep.

I have tried both full face masks and the nasal pillow style. The Hybrid, as the name implies, is the best of both worlds. I don't breath through my month, which makes my mouth and throat very dry, and am able to sleep comfortable on my side.

I found this mask very comfortable, with no pressure points and no leaking on the original seal. The replacement seal did not perform as well, however. Also, after several months of use I noticed that my sleep, though it had fewer interruptions, was not as refreshing as with other masks. I wonder if the air flow is not as good at very low pressures (6-12).

This is the first mask I have found which actually works for me. Others have done one or more of the following: pinch my nose bridge, blow on my eyes, leak arround my cheeks, or blow out of my mouth. This does none of that.

I liked this mask in theory, but practice it didn't work out for me. First the good: Sight lines were excellent. It feels much more open and free than any other full face mask I've tried, while still giving you the benefit of breathing from your mouth. I had to try a couple sizes to get the right one, but once I did, it was great. This part of the mask is really wonderful. Now for the bad: I didn't find this mask to be as durable as some of the others I've dried. In order to get a good seal on the mouth, you really need to keep up with the recommended liner replacement schedule. Often you can go quite a bit longer than recommended without problems, but this mask really relies on having fresh silicone with the proper stiffness. This was particularly true of the nose pieces, which simply won't work very well once they get worn out at all. I also found the nasal pieces to be irritating to my nose. It dried out the skin on the insides / edges of my nostrils. I also had problems with it because my nose often gets a bit runny, which ruined the connection and was very annoying. Still, while this mask didn't work out for me, I find myself wishing it would have. The openness of it is great and the fit was fine. It was the problem with the nose part that made it a bad fit for me. If you don't often get a runny nose, aren't prone to your skin drying out, and don't mind keeping up with new liners, you might find you really like it. Even though it didn't work out for me, I'm still tempted to give it another try. It has some real positives.
