Review of large mask. Could have been a grate mask but who ever designed the mask must thank everyones mouth is small like a child's mouth. this mask seals across the opening of the mouth not around the edges and when I open my mouth to breath (thats what its for) it looses its seal no matter if it is loose or tight if you can breath a straw it would work for you. the hole at the nose is good I tried a medium mask first it would fit a 3 year old. The size gauge that can be downloaded for sizing is worthless.

This is the best mask for me. Sometimes my nose is clear and I can breath well enough without opening my mouth, other times I need to use my mouth to breath. I tried about 5 other full face models, which are all designed to work well with either nose or mouth breathing, and they all push at the top, too close to my eyes, that's not good for my eyes. This one stays far away from my eyes, fits and seals good, and I hope they never discontinue this model, is perfect for me.

New to CPAP (October 2014); went through 3 masks, they all leaked, or were painful on the bridge of my nose. A tech fitted me with this one - AND - adjusted me from Constant pressure to "Auto" pressure. It is the only mask that didn't leak when I was on my side. My only complaint is that it is itchy when I put it on. And it leaves strap marks on my face that take about 4 hours before they disappear completely. I've been using this one for about 6 weeks now and finally getting into a good sleep rhythm. If it were not for the strap marks, I would have given it a 5.

Fundamentally, the mask is the best that I've used. Seal is excellent, except for the bottom, where the seal membrane will migrate upward into my lower lip. Often, when this happens, I have to loosen the head straps and re-start the fit process. Here's what I especially like about the system: The supply hose, with the qwik-disconnect right at the mask. Easy to get disconnected for a trip to the bathroom. The straps with the raised "warts" that keep the straps threaded through the adjacent slotted devices. Makes it easier to get re-connected during the dark. I'm a side-sleeper; the substantial fit usually keeps the mask in place throughout the night. The only negative: Those lower strap connectors are bummers, in that they are very hard to connect, and are very noisy. My wife knows every time I have to make a connection, she hears the snap. On the other hand, they do disconnect quickly; just pinch the clip against where the strap is looped onto the mask. Again, it's the best system I've used.

I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a mask that I can sleep with. This is, by far, the best I've found. I've resigned to the fact that there's not "that perfect mask," but this one is much better than any other I've tried...and I've tried 9 different ones so far. Think I'm sticking with the Amara View.

Sometimes I have trouble with the mask leaking at the top into my eyes. If I sleep on my side the mask leaks. After wearing the mask for awhile the Velcro stops sticking so good. It is frustrating. The cushion is not all that soft.

I had one loved it until my head got sore from the clip on side of head near top on right or left side.

After searching for the perfect mask, the Amara View wins the prize. After 16 nights, I have had only one night without a perfect complete seal with zero leaks. The one night I had a leak, it was only 1LPM, so even that does not count as a true leak by any measure. I suspect facial structure affects those that can't get a seal. As or me, I now have 5 other masks I may never use again.

Mask keeps moving up on chin during sleep and breaks seal when mask reaches mouth. Size is not problem, poor design is.Failure of mask to fit properly over chin area should cause caution when buying this mask.

I like the mask as it allows me to put on my glasses. The problems i have is i sleep on my left side and my bipap is set at 17/13 so to stop leaks i have to tighten. The buckle on the left side has caused a lump on my head and the narrow straps cause a crease. Maybe a bit wider strap and padding around the buckle adjustment would make it better.

This is the first mask that I have used that allows me to sleep through the night on my side without any air leaks. Its small and lightweight and is super comfortable. The other thing I really like is the actual headgear - I have a smaller head and usually end up pulling the straps so tight they overlap. I don't have to do that with this mask because of size and where the velcro is located. Best mask I have found since I have had my Cpap!

I have a goatee and mustache and this is working fine. Switched from full face quatro FX that blew air into my eyes or would slip up into my mouth. With the FX I had to reduce the pressure to 10.4 to get rid of leaks. Only been using the Amara View for two nights at with pressure back at 12 with no leaks waking me up. The head gear is nice and cushioned but still leaves a mark along my cheek. I'm a side sleeper and I can sleep all night. Will try to edge the pressure up to 14 over a few nights but this mask actually seems to seal better at 12 vs 10.4. My local supplier gave me the Amara view and the mirage liberty hybrid to try. I'll try the hybrid this weekend but think the Amara view is much simpler. Also very quick and easy to clean. Would have given 5 stars if it had O2 ports.

Not a bad mask. Don't like the small white connector tube - the one end that connects to the CPAP hose is ok,(hard plastic to rubber), - the plastic end that clips to the elbow on the mask does not create a good seal, as it is hard plastic to hard plastic. At higher pressures it leaks air and wakes me up with it's hissing, as does the plastic elbow on the mask itself. The elbow rotates, and again at higher pressures leaks air. The work around I use is to put thread seal tape around the hard plastic elbow. Now when I attach the hard white plastic hose, it seals well and does not leak at higher pressures. The elbow continues to leak at higher pressure though where it joins the mask itself. I am considering using some silicone sealer there, which will make it immobile, but I don't need it to swivel anyway. I like the mask - fewer red marks on face - but don't want to be woken by hissing air leaks. What it really needs is a rubber connector to the hard plastic of the mask elbow, and a better or more pliable seal at the mask itself where the elbow is attached. As far as pressures, I am not sure of the proper terminology, but my pressures go up to 20. I think this mask is rated to that pressure.

Amara View Full Face Mask Review: 1)Mask seems to fit better than any others I have tried; 2)absolutely more comfortable. 3)I'm a side sleeper,so the assembly gives me less problems in keeping a fit when one side of my face is against my pillow. 4)I like the qwik-disconnect on the front of the mask. Easier to donn and doff without a long snout in the way. 5) Headgear adjustment straps with the "warts" resist falling completely off the assembly. Great idea. 6) Mask could be another 0.5" wider in the mouth area. 6) Headgear clips are a DISASTER !!! Difficult to get positioned to snap in place; someone with large fumble-fingers like myself would have difficulty getting the clip aligned with the connector bar on the mask (speaking from experience). Definitely not a quiet connection; the noisy snaps wakes my spouse. No other way to be quiet in making the connection. Breakaway action is almost as bad. However, I have learned how to disconnect with minimal trouble.
