Makes my nose very red and sore. Difficult to situate correctly and keep positioned correctly.
Can a little different interface be made that fits over the end of the nose and doesn't go into the nose? and SOFTER!!!

I like the fact that it fits into the nostril, it helps stablize the fit. I never had any soreness. A little Neosporin on the nasal os helps maintain the seal.

Been using the opti life for over a year and like it. A bit of mentholated petroleum jelly on the nostril will aleviate the occasional soreness from using a nasal interface mask.

Been using for just 2 months, and am first time CPAP user, but this mask works very well for me. Only complaint is it often falls out when I turn over in bed to sleep on my sides. I get used to it though and adjust it back in position. Nice that our eyes are not obstructed like some masks. Might try some other nasal masks depending upon recommendations here.

it very easily migrates into the nostril too far; after only one night my nose was quite sore.

I love, love, love using my cpap AND it's because of the OptiLife Nasal Mask and these nasal cushions. I heard about how difficult it was to get used to the CPAP, but I've had no problems since I found this mask. I could not be happier. A little over a month into use, I developed some sore, dry and abraded spots in my nostrils--I thought perhaps I had turned and slept wrong with the nasal pillow pointed toward the inside wall of my nose. No, I had accidentally turned the moisture level down on the machine and it was just to dry for me. This mask changed my entire sleep experience. Thanks so much.

I had to stop using it as I was getting (what thought were viral nasal infections), extremely sensitive nasal passageways that mimicked a cold. Nose would run and for a couple days I had watery itch eyes, sneezing, etc. After the third episode, i figured out that I was not getting sick, but getting sensitive from the air pressure. Might have to do with the level I need to use, but, I don't know. Going to try a new one and if it happens again I will swith. The reason I am trying it one more time is because it works, and I need my sleep. Thanks to those how recomended the neo and vix; perhaps that will help some.

It is very comfortable to sleep with the nasal pillows. I can sleep on back & side comfortable. The only problem is the end tips of my nose is very red and sore. The more I use it the worse my nose gets. It has even got to the point that I am getting actual sores on my nose.

Love it! It is comfortable to sleep in any position and I can wear it while I watch tv at bedtime with my glasses on. (I let it ramp up to full pressure before I fall asleep that way)
