I HAVE BEEN ON CPAP FOR FIVE YEARS WITH SEVERAL DIFFERENT MASKS. I LOVE THIS ONE BECAUSE MY NOSE DOES NOT CLOSE UP WHEN I USE THIS MACHINE. THIS HAD BEEN A PROBLEM FOR FIVE YEARS. THANKS FOR A GREAT MACHINE FOR US MOUTH BREATHERS.

I have had this machine for 2 months and have been unhappy with it. The machine does what it is suppose to but the noise level is loud when inhaling.and it gets louder as the pressure goes up. It wakes me up almost every night. I have tried to get respironics to help but was unsuccesful.

I just started using my machine 3 months now and it has changed my life!! I had what I thought was a heart problem only to be caused by sleep apnia. I learned quickly that I dont even have to turn the machine on, just don the mask and inhale, it turns on automatically. Never thought I had a sleep problem till now, thanx!!

The guys that rated it one star,,didn't pay attention when they were instructed on its use. I got mine thru the VA. I have no problem.

I have used this machine for about 3 months. It is advertised as a quiet machine. Far from it, it magnifies each inhaled breath by at least 3 times normal. Even with a pillow on top of the machine and have it placed on the floor beside the bed. I still wake to the sound of my breathing. It is however, very quiet upon exhaling. If you do not have a hearing problem, this machine would be a problem.

I've used the CPAO REMstar Pro M for one month. At first I did not like it because of leakage, noise and a terrible nose abrasion. Then I got a white chin strap... problems gone. quieter, no leaks, sleep with mouth closed, deeper sleep... and oh, don;t forget a piece of tape or bandaide on the bridge of your nose at night, and BINGO... [tpblems solved! Telephone support locally is lacking, but research it yourself and all solutions can be easily had.

It's much noisier than my 5 year old machine and the lighted switches are really too bright. It seems to work okay and I do like the small size and light weight.

I truly do not understand the complaints. This is an excellent machine. I've been on mine for five years. It is very quiet, much quieter than my old Remstar Plus. I get a good night's sleep every night. I am very happy with mine, and I highly recommend it. People who are complaining about the noise are complaining about the headgear, not the machine itself. Headgear is sold separately.

RECENTLY STARTED ON CPAP WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES AND WAS DOING FINE BUT PRESSURE SEEMS TO WAKE ME AND I END UP WAKING DURING THE NIGHT. NO INSTRUCTIONS ON MAKING ANY MINOR ADJUSTMENTS. SEE WHY SOME PEOPLE STOP USING THIS MACHINE.

I just received this machine to replace an older Respironics machine. I am totally impressed. It is slightly noisier on the inhale but completely silent on the exhale. The size is great for traveling also. I give this machine top marks and highly recommended it. I love it.

I started using this machine one month ago. I haven't had more than 5 hours sleep per night since. Noise, lights, mask leaks, the machine whistles. My wife refuses to sleep in the same room now. I got the machine thru the VA, got to get something different.

Been on this machine for 2 years and sleep very well. Of course it is troublesome to use but the benefits are terrific. Not too noisy with the ramp up feature. I give it 4 stars....

Been on CPAP for 10 years. This is a good machine but it took a long time to get used to the higher noise levels. It moaned and groaned every time I inhaled or exhaled. Finally I turned off the exhale pressure reduction feature and that was some help. I finally got used to the noise. The carrying case is too small to carry the machine and required parts, i.e. the mask and hose wont fit.

Had mine for several years - however lately it will shut off on its own in the middle of the night -- which kind of defeats the whole purpose, and makes it worse - because I have a mask over my face smothering me!

It is a good machine. With excellent name recognition , it works quietly until your seal on your mask is broken. Which is normal due to increased airflow to compensate for the leak in the mask. That problem is the mask not the machine. It is reliable.

I have a Remstar Pro and I've been using it for almost two years. I'd be lost without it.
Noise: get a white noise generator - a machine that makes a fairly loud hiss like static on a TV. You'll sleep like a baby. And all the sounds from outside your house will also be gone. Most white noise machines have different settings such as rain, but I started picking up the rhythms and you start listening to see if you're right. White noise works best for me.

I hate this machine. It is sooooo noisy that I can't believe that some users call it quiet...how can the3re be such different perceptions of the same machine? I don't like the humidifier either, it's harder than it needs to be to pull the reservoir out of the machine to fill it. My doctor put me on this machine without even informing me that there was a whole world of cpap equipment out there! I am a new user and had no idea, just accepted that this was the machine I had to use. I am on the internet tonight because I became so frustrated with not being able to sleep (noise, noise, noise!!!!) Now how do I go about getting a machine that is more suitable? I am not rich!
