CPAP Supply USA Honors Staff Sergeant Dorsett R. Shipman

Dorsett Randolph Shipman was born in 1924 to Nathan and Nettie Shipman in Henrico County, Va. Growing up, Dorsett, along with his brothers helped out on the family farm until he found work in the private sector. On January 2, 1943 Dorsett Shipman enlisted into the Unites States Army, entering World War II. He became a waist gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress, based in England, and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.   This year, CPAP Supply USA honors Staff Sergeant Shipman for his dedicated service and sacrifice to our country which upheld the freedoms and liberties that we hold so dear.   On March 14, 1945, in Kessel, Germany, Staff Sergeant Shipman was on his 35th and final mission. He was serving with crew not as seasoned as himself. His plane was struck by another plane above theirs killing all but one soldier.
