September 11, 2001 changed the lives of Americans forever. We as a nation witnessed terrorism in our front yard. On that day many lives were taken in a senseless act of violence against innocent Americans who were unaware that they were targets of terror. CPAP Supply USA remembers this day very well and each year the pain doesn't get any easier. Today we pause to honor the lost, the heroes, and families impacted by the tragedy. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!


'CPAP' added to Merriam Webster Dictionary (Finally!)

In a press release dated August 25th, it was announced that the phrase 'continuous positive airway pressure', and the accompanying abbreviation 'CPAP', was added to the newest edition of the Merriam Webster Dictionary. Accompanied by other, more trendy words and phrases, such as 'bromance', 'crowdsourcing' and 'fist bump', the word CPAP was defined through the following dictionary citation: "abbreviated CPAP; a technique for relieving breathing problems (as those associated with sleep apnea or congestive heart failure) by pumping a steady flow of air through the nose to prevent the narrowing or collapse of air passages or to help the lungs to expand." It was cited as originating in 1975 (which is before the CPAP invention date of 1981, so we're not sure where that date originates).
