The USA is starting a new year full of hope.  Our new President has asked all of us to work together to help make the changes so badly needed to help our country.

CPAP Supply USA.COM wants to do it’s part in helping with one of the major challenges facing us, HEALTH CARE COSTS.  We will strive this year to bring you the best prices possible, products to help you be comfortable and compliant with your therapy and most important, knowledge and education.

Did you know that getting the right diagnosis and treatment of your sleep apnea saves millions of healthcare dollars?

The health benefits of treating sleep disordered breathing (SDB) are well established.  There has been a substantial increase in health care costs related to diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing.  Several studies recently performed, have provided supporting evidence of cost justification for the current standards of detecting and treating sleep disorder breathing.

Untreated SDB is associated with an increased risk of cardiac disease, diabetes and stroke.  A report by the American Sleep Disorders Association reported that 97 untreated

Sleep apnea patients incurred an excess in hospital costs of $100,000-$200,000 and physician costs doubled.

Another study of 344 patients with a clinical diagnosis of sleep apnea and appropriate treatment were examined for 2 years.  It was proven that in this control group, physician costs decreased by 33%.  Hospital stays decreased by over 50%.

One of the world’s largest trucking companies recently reported an average of 58% savings in health care costs of treated drivers for sleep apnea.  The same company reduced the number of accidents related to fatigue by 30%.  The efforts of this company have made the highways safer for all of us.

It is estimated that undiagnosed and untreated sleep apnea may cause $3.4 billion in additional medical costs in the U.S.  The rising cost of healthcare today is one of America’s biggest concerns.

CPAP Supply USA was created to help the uninsured or underinsured Americans get the treatment they need.  To all of our faithful CPAP users, thank you being a good American citizen and doing your part to help the healthcare crisis.

CPAPSupplyUSA.com will continue to do their part in providing solutions.

Continue to wear your CPAP and share your knowledge of sleep apnea with someone that may be suffering from this life threatening illness.

Happy New Year from the staff of CPAPSUPPLYUSA.COM!

Sounds like a good time to make a few New Year’s resolutions, eh?  Of course it is, but only if you’re committed to what one expert calls the “process of change,” not unrealistic expectations that can set you up for a big fall.  A new year is an opportunity for a new change.

Health and Fitness resolutions top the list of New Year resolutions with losing 10 pounds the most popular one. The second most popular resolution is getting out of debt. Let’s think about this for a moment, isn’t your health the most important thing in anyone’s life? Having good or better health is always a good investment.  Losing a few pounds and having a healthier life style is probably one of the few things in today’s horrible economy that doesn’t have to cost you  much but could add years of quality life.  Have you ever considered what the cost of blood pressure medication is?  Wouldn’t it be great to be healthy and not have to take blood pressure medications?  It is highly possible. CPAPSUPPLYUSA.COM  is making the commitment to you to help you have better sleep and better health.  We will be featuring more educational blogs and provide products that can support you in obtaining your goal of better sleep, better health.

Let’s start with giving some helpful tips in achieving your goal:

1.      Set a realistic goal

2.      Commit, develop an action plan and stay focused regardless of the results.

3.      Be prepared, have a plan and follow it. Expect bumps in the road.  Know what to accomplish and when

4.      Admit you have a  problem

5.      Don’t make excuses.  Write down excuses in advance and your action that you will take to combat the “bumps in the road”.

6.      Schedule some type of exercise.  Walking is good for everyone.  Check with your doctor before trying anything you feel may be strenuous for you.  Write down your progress each day and try to increase the amount you are doing.

7.      Monitor your behavior ( write a food diary, count the glasses of water you drink, write down exercise)

8.      Focus on the horizon, measure the progress made

Now is the best time to start living healthier

The staff of CPAPSUPPLYUSA.COM has also started their own healthy living program. We are your partners for “Better Sleep, Better Health”.
