    ultra-fine filter specs

It is/has been tree pollen allergy season for me but my filter is dark gray in color. What are the retention [by particle size] performance specs for the model # 1005945 filter for the REMstar model #1018547 CPAP? jc

Thank you for your questions.  I would contact Respironics Tech Support for that questions.  The number is 800-345-6443

I would suggest changing your filters out more frequently.  You may want to check the filters for heating and air conditioning in your home also.  It has been a very rough year for allergy sufferers.

    John,

The respironics ultrafine filter holds back anything over 0.3µ (microns), HEPA quality, but not HEPA tested.

The sizes of typical contaminates are:
    Lint 10µ
    Pollens 10µ to 100µ
    Household Dust 0.3µ to 5µ
    Human Skin Cell 3 µ to 15 µ
    Atmospheric Dust 0.001µ to 15µ
    Tobacco Smoke 0.01µ to 1µ
    Bacteria 0.05µ to 50µ
    Virus 0.005µ to 0.1µ
