    problems with nasal mask

I have switched to a comfortlite nasal mask recently. The headgear is more comfortable but I'm having some issues with the direct seal cushion that fits in my nose. The size is right but I've been getting sores. So I switched it to the simple cushion which is far better for me but after 2 months, it seems like it's not sealing over my nose properly. Other than ordering a new cushion, is there something else I can do to ensure the seal? Maybe a bit of vaseline? There are no tears or any stretching on the simple cushion. I've cleaned and maintained it. So I'm at a loss as to what to do other than ordering a new one. Thankyou!

Thank you for your question.  I have a couple thoughts.  Take a look at the CPAP moisture creme we are now offering.  This will help make your noe more comfortable and help to condition that very sensitive skin area.  We do recommend changing out the nasal cushion after two months of use.  They usually don't fit and hold the seal after a couple of months.  Also Respironics has a new style pillow/nasal cushion system.  It is on our website and offers the convenience of nasal pillows and a nasal cushion.
