    Mask Favorites?

At CPAP Supply USA, we are definitely responsible for recommending masks to our CPAP users every day. Our recommendations come, mainly, from the feedback we receive from other customers who have purchased in the past. As we add more and more new masks to the site, it becomes harder for us to keep up with all of the comments or complaints from our customers, so we would like to ask you - what's your favorite mask? What do you use now? Why does it seem to work best for you? Have you considered or tried to switch this mask before? What were the results? Give us the dirty details on CPAP masks, so we can continue to be a resource for the many new patients each day who call with no idea where to start... Thanks!

    Re: Mask Favorites?

I have both the Respironics ComfortLite and the ComfortLite 2 nasal headgear which I use with the direct seal cushions (they are much more comfortable for me than the pillows). These tend to work quite well, since I sleep on all four sides, and the top of head connection is very helpful for me. Other nasal masks I have tried (like the ResMed Swift) seem to wake me up whenever I turn, or they completely prevent me from sleeping the way I want to.

While the ComfortLite 2 is usually very comfortable. sometimes, due to the weather, it becomes a bit irritating, and I then switch to the original ComfortLite to take a break. I would like to continue using both (whicn means replacment parts), and unfortunately, Respironics has discontinued the original ConfortLIte mask. I am looking into getting a backup original ComfortLite while it may still be available on the web.

     Hi apc,

Just a quick suggestion (based on some of your above statements), you may want to also investigate two newer nasal pillows masks that have great reviews from side-sleepers - the Fisher & Paykel Opus 360 and the ResMed Swift LT. Both masks have a 360-degree swivel in the front of the mask that allows you to wear the tubing over the head, up the side of the face, or down in front of the body. They both get great reviews and have less substantial headgear than the comfort lite... Good luck and remember, you can still buy Comfort Lite (the original style) online - stock up before they are all gone! Wink
