    CPAP Accessories

How interchangable are hoses?  Are they all the same diameter?  I have a Breas machine for several years.  I notice this site doesn't carry that brand.  Are filters available on the internet for Breas (I'm sure the model is discontinued)

Also, how many years can you expect from a machine?.

    Hello!

I am not familiar with your machine - how long ago did you receive/purchase it? Generally, all masks and tubing are manufactured with 22mm openings so that machines and supplies can be interchanged and are not based on brand of machine. You could most likely purchase standard tubing and masks from our site and see that they fit, but if you can tell me a bit more about your machine, I will check to be sure.

As for filters, it would really depend on how old your machine is and how widely it was originally distributed. As I said, I do not recognize it and we do not carry that type of filter on our site. A search of google or yahoo may reveal a provider who does carry that filters.

CPAP machines can last a long time (they are pretty straightforward in design), but generally people replace on average every 5 years, sometimes sooner. Machines are only warrantied for 2-3 years from the manufacturer. There have been some pretty neat features added to relatively new machines (in the past 3-4 years) and machines are much SMALLER now (definitely a plus!). If you would like some more information on the new units, please let me know!
