    Need a new mask

I have been unable to use the full mask and now nasal mask due to allergic reaction to the plastic membrane (blisters/rash on nose and upper lip).  My respiratory therapist recommended  that I obtain nasal pillow mask but could not recommended a brand

I am not sure which kind to get. I'm thinking the Swift LT or Swift II.  I'm leaning toward Swift LT because not a lot of surface area on the face. My only concern is that I do move around a lot at night will it slip off?

     Any thoughts?

I have recently put quite a few CPAP users on the Swift L/T.  You are correct, that it does have very little contact  wtih the face.  It does seem to stay in place very well.  Resmed has added small support straps to help hold the nasal pillows in place better.  It will come with three sizes of pillows.   I feel confident in recommending the Swift L/T

Another very popular pillow system, is the Fisher and Paykel Opus, Small and light weight, very comfortable,

As with any mask or pillow system, Remember to wash or wipe off daily to keep clean.

I hope this will help in making your decision.

    Re: Need a new mask

Trekkie01, you might find that RemZzzs CPAP mask liners help to reduce the allergic reaction you are having to the compounds in your mask skirt. If you have already migrated to the Swift nasal pillow I hope that you have continued success as I hear that this is a good system. If you find that you need to switch back the the full face, or traditional nasal style mask due to a cold or other condition that prevents using the Swift, you might find that RemZzzs works well.

    Hope that helps,

    Nathan
