    REMstar plus M-series

We have had our cpap machine for about a year and for the last couple of months, it is not pushing air out as hard as it used to. He still is snoring with the nose mask on because of the lack of air. How do you turn up the pressure in the machine like it was when he first got it?

Thank you for contacting  CPAP SUPPLY USA.COM

The only way to know how much pressure your CPAP is generating is to have it checked with a manometer.  You may want to check with the company that you purchased the CPAP from.  If the machine is delivering the pressure that is prescribed, there may be other concerns.

    1.  Your husband may be breathing through his mouth causing him to snore and feel like he is not getting enough air.  A full face mask or possibly a chin strap my help this problem.

    2.  Has your husband experienced significant weight gain over the past year?  This may mean it is taking more pressure to keep his airway open.

The pressure should only be changed after it has been checked  and also you would need a physican's order to change the pressure.

    I hope this helps.

Have you cleaned the Air Filter or Filters recently or replaced them? This might help if you haven't.

We were taught to clean and replace the Air Filter regularly and make sure, if he has tubing, to make sure the tubing isn't blocked in any way.
