    Travel - Camping with C-PAP

I'm about to embark on a 30 day roadtrip and use my Honda Element as a base for sleeping. It's unlikely I'll find AC hookup at every campsite so I need to have a reliable backup power supply for my REMstar PRO M Series (Respironics). I noticed various inverters and even a lighter adaptor for the Respironics machine. My question is will this be a reliable power source for the machine? Mostly I worry about draining my car battery in the middle of nowhere to power my machine so would like to understand my options. Thanks in advance.

There are several options to consider when using a battery for your CPAP.  Usually it takes about 6 hours to recharge the battery.  If the car is not running, you do run the risk of running down your car battery.  Other considerations are your CPAP pressure setting.  Are you using a humidifier?

We have clients that have found the AEIOMED Everest great for camping, a good price even with the battery. Some of our campers will buy an additional battery to keep charged up in advance.  The Aeiomed is featured on our website and may be the safest way to go..

    Happy camping!!
