I haven't heard of anyone having to stop treatment becuase of illness. It may be harder to use with swollen sinus cavities, but I can't think that anything will be made worse with treatment.

Maunfacturers suggest replace your mask ever 6-9 months. However, I heard of people going for years without replacement. You want to replace your mask when parts break, when discoloration occurs, or when the plastic on the mask becomes pliable.

When purchasing your equipment from another country, and from a manufacturer in another country, with a warranty in another country... I personally WOULD NOT expect any recompense from the company I purchased from. I would expect the manufacturer to honor the warranty, but not to pay for the shipping costs to get it to them.
