  • Have issues with insufficient water to last through the night

I have previously been on a C-PAP machine for 8 years and never gotten relief. I was then given a BI-PAP machine. This has helped a bit. The issue is that I need the machines humidity level set at "5" at night or I wake up with severe dry mouth. The problem arises if I do set it at 5 then about...

  • Fitting a mask

I have been trying to find a mask that fits properly. I have tried the Fisher & Paykel Oracle 452, the Fisher & Paykel FlexiFit 431 Full and 432. I also tried Respironic's ComfortGel Full mask, and ResMed Mirage Liberty. All but the Oracle 452 leak at some point. I can usually get a good...

  • Recovery due to damaged cells from sleep apnea

I wonder if one of your experts could shed some light on the time it might take to see some sort of significant improvement in functioning. My husband is 65 yrs old & we are guessing that he has had sleep apnea for several yrs now. He has just now been diagnosed as having a fairly severe case of...

  • chin strap

I am on cpap and use a full face mask. I snore really bad. Chin straps I've tried in the past slide off my head. I need a chin strap that will keep my mouth closed and not come off during the night. Please advise. My pressure is set at 16.

  • Help! I have a moustache!

I currently use a Respironics Classic fit mask. However, I have a moustache and I am a side-sleeper...needless to say, my mask does not maintain it's seal through the night! As soon as my neck relaxes, causing my head to drop or I roll over on my side, the "wooshing" noise begins! I don't...

  • Insurance vs. doctor recommended C-Pap machine

I found your site tonight and know that it will be helpful. I'm wondering if this post may help someone else who runs into this issue and also if you have any thoughts, comments, or suggestions. I have had clinical insomnia (verified by a sleep study in 1999 but I didn't need it to know that...

  • Re: ultra-fine filter specs

Thank you for your questions. I would contact Respironics Tech Support for that questions. The number is 800-345-6443 I would suggest changing your filters out more frequently. You may want to check the filters for heating and air conditioning in your home also. It has been a very rough year for allergy...
