The strap stretches out within 4-6 weeks at best, causing a less than tight seal, not to mention the strap ends creaping up into my eyes causing me to wake up to reposition it several times during the nite.Unfortunately my insurance only allows pays for the resplacement of the strap every 6 months. Washing it, and even putting it in the dryer for 10 minutes with damp towels.. as suggested by the respitory therapist does not help. This strap either needs to be made of a different material or reconfigured so the wearer can tighten it up as needed.

Excellent fit but does not maintain its integrity for very long. today is august 2nd and I had to knot the straps so they would maintain a tight seal. This would not be a problem except uhc will not allow another one until October. I can get all the other supplies that I don't need but not the one that wears out.

Try folding the strap in the back and securing with 2 or 3 staples. Works for me.

I agree with the others regarding the headgear stretching out. I also have mine knotted, which is uncomfortable. My insurance only pays for one every six months also. They need to come up with another material.

Great headset for about 2 months, then it gets all stretched out. I have tied a pony tail holder around it at the back to keep it tight until I can get another. Horrible design.

The headgear was very comfortable but after 4-months the straps have apparently stretched. Now I wake up several times at night and have to reposition the straps for nose pillows to seal again. Called Elite. They stated that straps were adjustable. Someone please show me how to tighten one-piece straps.

elastic strap is great for about two months. I tried to order a replacement but it is the one item that they only replace every 6 months. I went to a fabric store and purchased an elastic roll for $4 - I made my own replacement in two minutes and have enough to never rely on their replacement strap or costs

Love the mask... Hate the headgear

The mask itself is good but after 2 months the strap has stretched beyond usability and results with me having to pay in full for a replacement

Someone should sue Resmed as the product is not fit for purpose or of merchantable quality. The built in obsolescence of this product makes a Resmed a fortune.
In Australia this part costs 3 times as much and it's an Australian company.

I agree with all the other reviews ..... my head gear was pretty well unusable after a couple of months; cpap supply company said to wash/dry them, which I do every other week in a lingerie bag .... helps for a short while ......

great mask but the head gear stretches out within 3 months. Be prepared to pay for another strap with you want to follow the doctors orders.

Headgear stretches to inserviceability in less then 2 months. I've taken to stapling the elastic bands. Planned obsolence at it's finest.

I'm pretty sure they purposely make this so it wears out quickly. After all, if it lasted forever, you'd never have to replace it.
