i like this new design. better cushion on the top of the head and the design on the clip holder seems more thicker plastic.

One and only mask, I will ever use. Simply the BEST. 5 star rating from me. Very comfortable and fits me just fine. Been using this mask for quite a while and won't change for anything.

I was using the comfort classic for years, but they discontinued it. I tried this mask for 1 night. I woke up the next morning with that 'I didn't get the right kind of sleep' feeling. Not sure why the mask would make that much difference, but like with the cpap machines, it did. It did fit well feel good, but I just didn't sleep well with it. I re-used the old mask and slept much better. Seems even the slightest difference in the gear can change how well you sleep. Very frustrating.

Love this mask, just need to keep replacing the cushion, as recommended every 3-6 months and I'm good to go. What a lifesaver!!!

I do not like this mask. I cannot get a good seal and spend most of the night making adjustments to the mask. It is just not for me.

I used this mask for four nights and it is the worst mask I have ever used. I have been using Respironics masks for 19 years and this mask makes me wish I had bought mask insurance. The forehead cushion is nice but I wake up with sore cheek bones and it feels like I am trying to seal a tire on my face as it is so hard compared to the ProLite I have used for years but they discontinued that model for adults. The headgear is good but the mask itself will make me buy another mask immediately as this just does not work for me. It is hard to seal unless you tighten the headgear so tight that your head and face will hurt.

I am new CPAP user and found the mask very easy to adjust and much more comfortable than I expected. Was able to keep it on all night from the first night.

My husband uses this mask but his problem is the cord is wrapping around his neck as he moves during the night and the mask eventually detaches from his face. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I used for 3 nights and the mask hurt my cheek bones. The cushion was nice, it is quieter than the zest I was using, but it is just too wide. I am returning. Thank goodness for CPAPsupplyusa assurance program.

THe direction states the gel ican be custom fitted. That is not the case. After following the directions to the letter, the gel comppletly lost any capacity to seal
Perfect fit! I was impressed that Respironics actually made a mask that could replace the ComfortGel!

This is the most uncomfortable mask I have ever come to try and use! Would not recommend to any female or small faced person! It is heavy, bulky, and just out right uncomfortable!

The mask part around the nose is "OK" not perfect. At the start of using it, it is very uncomfortable. I get a rash under and beside my nose for about the first 2 weeks. The part that touches the forehead is as bad or worse and have to use cortizone for all the redness areas every morning. Over time this does go away. Also the "forehead bar" is very flimsy and breaks easy - I have repaired mine 2 time (different places) with JB Weld - an epoxy but if it breaks or not noticed until bed time there is no sleeping unless you do not use the CPAP as the epoxy takes 5 hours to set and 12 to competely cure. Wish I could still get the old style Profile Lite Gel Nasal CPAP Mask. It was never a problem - get the head gear on and wear it... no rash nothing.

I switched to this mask about 6 months ago after the Profile Lite was dropped. It worked well until about 3 weeks ago when I started getting irritation on my upper lip to the point of skin breakdown, especially in the area of the raised size letter molded into the mask. I have had to treat the lip with antibiotics or Cortaid and wear a bandaid. I have not found a head gear adjustment that will give a suitable seal and avoid the irritation.

Leaky and painful. Like many others, I had used the ComfortGel Blue for many years. The original design has been discontinued. The gel cushion of the original was able to softly conform to the face. This new version is thinner and harder, with less surface area to distribute the pressure on the face. The forehead pad IS much better. Not happy, and will look at other manufacturers.

Respironics ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask Assembly Kit - Medium
by Anonymous on May 9, 2011
The cushion on the confortgel blue is so much lighter and more comfortable than any mask I tried.

THey changed the exhalation port---now a multi hole port in front. quiet, but.....if I lay on my right side, a cold blast of air from it hits my wife and she has to wake me to turn over. Older style diffused air back down the hose bothering nobody. too bad, well made in general.
