  • The patented forehead StabilitySelector raises and lowers the mask for optimized mask angle, seal, and fit.

  • The Fusion Headgear provides reliable comfort, fit and stability.
The Philips Respironics Comfort Fusion CPAP Nasal Mask with headgear is an innovative, yet classically-styled CPAP mask that was designed to bring comfort, seal, and mask stability to CPAP users. Combining Respironics’ years of CPAP mask design experience with the need for a comfortable CPAP mask at a good value for you, the Respironics Comfort Fusion is a mask that will be a great choice for a large number of patients.

A superior seal is achieved through the pairing of a soft, replaceable cushion with the forehead StabilitySelector, an exclusive Respironics feature that raises and lowers the mask at the bridge of the nose to ensure optimized angle, seal, and fit without adding extra pressure to the face. A premium soft forehead pad and Fusion headgear increase comfort and decrease the risk of pressure point pain and sores found in less comfortable CPAP masks.

The soft latex free cushion provides maximum seal with limited tightening of the headgear. The Respironics Comfort Fusion is an excellent choice for CPAP users who have pressures between 4 and 20 cmH2O either on BiPAP or CPAP therapy. Replacement cushions can be purchased to ensure longevity. This CPAP nasal mask is also easy to maintain.

Lasts about 2 months. They have designed the mask to break often. It would be a simple fix to prevent this, but it would cut into their revenues.

Same problem with the ball socket breaking. After the second time I drilled a small (1/32 in.) hole in the remaining side of the ball socket and used a length of 40#, nylon fishing line to clodely tie the black ball into what was left of the socket. It has been successful now for almost a year.

Works great, but keeps breaking the plastic that retains one of the bottom black connectors. This is the second one that has done the same thing. Lasts about 2 months before breaking.

Fit is fine but either the clip for the ball breaks or the tongue for the head piece clip breaks anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. VERY aggravating and expensive. And they don't sell replacement parts for the broken pieces.

I had the same problem with the plastic breaking. To bad a good class action attorney doesn't read this thread. I'm sure there are tens of thousands of us who have bought this mask and it broke after a few weeks or months of use. Yes, it would be a very simple fix, but they wouldn't sell as many.

I have the same problem wth the ball socket breaking. I replaced the ball on the strap with a hair band that girls use to make a ponytail and looped it around the swivel where the hose connects. I did this to get by untill I could get it replaced, but it worked so well I am still using it that way after 6 months.

I have the same problem. Went through three of them. Ball sockets break within 3-4 months. I had to super-glue the ball to the broken socket.

My ball socket broke just like everybody else's, a few days short of 11 months. THANK YOU to the reviewer who said to just fasten a ponytail "scrunchey" from the strap to the hose connect swivel to hold the strap on! Pure genius!

I am on my third mask. The ball socket keeps breaking and they do not sell a replacment frame. This is a very design flaw.

This is the same junk mask as the Comfort Gel without the gel. Expect no more than 4 months of use from it. Fisher Paycel makes a comparable mask mask that I have had over a's just prone to moisture build up.

Have had this mask for 6 months and have experienced no breakage as all other reviews seem to indicate. I have tried the pillow mask and cannot use. This is the best and most comfortable for Me. Usually when I wake, don't eaven know mask is on.

Poor design for the ball socket connection as others have said. Requires premature repurchase of mask.

I have had the mask only a few months and have just suffered the same breakage problem. Great fit until it breaks. Don't buy this mask unless you want to buy a new one every 4 to 6 months. Cost prohibitive!!!!!

Best mask I ever used, but ball socket broken just like other's said. I called respironics and they said there is no replacement part. They also advised me not to buy on an online site, but from a dealer. I am in Canada and saved over $100 buying online

Same problem as everyone else. Bottom holding clip continues to break on every mask that I have had. Masks works great until this happens.

I have encountered the same problem! Breaks at lower socket joint very easily! A very poor quality plastic is the problem. A flexable plastic would prevent this problem.

Many appear to be complaining about the strap connector ball breaking. I suggest a different strap or use some enginuity -- something that few people use. Perhaps sew Velcro strips in place. I am currently using a "disposable" Respironics nasal mask that I have used for decades. Yes, I get new ones. but this simple mask works without all the bells and whistles. I also use a full skull cap. This combination can last me over 6 months without a problem. Then a new one is provided. I keep the old ones and in a nut shell, get them out and use them some more. Life is great!

If this mask keeps breaking, then why would anyone continue to use the same model over and over again? Just buy a different mask. Also, these masks are supposed to be replaced regularly. They are not supposed to be used for an entire year! Jeez.
