Respironics System One Auto CPAP and Humidifier:

With Resistance Control, Data Management and Reporting, Dry Box Technology, Advanced Event Detection and Response, Humidity Control, and A-Flex, the new Philips Respironics System One Auto CPAP has everything and more for the user and physician.

Resistance Control

If the patient is prescribed a nasal, full face, or pillow mask the Respironics System One Auto is equipped to adjust. Simply input the mask type into the unit and the System One Auto does the rest. The unit adjusts for the best possible flow based on the mask in use.

Dry Box Technology

The Dry Box technology works through the ingeniously planned humidifier water chamber. The water chamber has a integrated Dry Box that practically eradicates water seeping into the CPAP unit during use. If the unit is somehow tipped over or turned upside down (even filled to the fill line), water will not enter the unit.

Advanced Event Detection and Response

Respironics is fully aware of the needs of the patient to obtain a good night of rest and physician’s need for sleep therapy compliance and treatment options. To ensure both these factors are meet, The Respironics System One Auto detects and tracks leaks, snoring, Flow Limitation, Apnea Hyponea Index, Hyponea, Periodic Breathing, Respiratory Effort-Related Arousals, Clear Airway Apnea, and Obstructed Airway Apnea. All of this detection technology is tracked using a standard SD data card.

Humidity Control

The Humidity Control system monitors the room climate such as temperature, flow, and humidity to determine the best possible humidity setting to preserve the patient’s special humidity setting. Maintaining the humidity control will also reduce rain-out in the tubing.

* PLEASE NOTE: ALWAYS drain your water chamber completely when transporting or moving your machine.

Have a 5 yr old not so stylish Respironics that worked fine and planning to upgrade to this one and keep the old one as back-up. The A-flex makes a very comfortable breathing experience.

The Same customer who gives a 1 star rating over and over should get a life and grow up. I have used Respironics machines for years and this one ids the best yet. Super quiet, A flex works better than the res med solution IMHO. Now if Respironics could make a mask that works as well as the res med offerings... all would be good... I use a Quattro full face with my system 1 auto.... best of both worlds...

The machine works fine, however the water tank should be larger. It is always empty in the morning.

I've been using a CPAP for over 12 years. 2 months ago I started using the Philips Respironics System One Auto CPAP. Its a good machine. It definitely runs quietly. My only concerns are; I get a slight wheezing sound when I exhale, and as the night progresses, air is forced from around the seals on the mask producing a gurgling sound. I did not have these concerns with my previous CPAP. I am, however, in the process of trying out other mask types that will hopefully eliminate my concerns.

machine works well...can reco, the mask (quatro) full face leaves a bit to be desired. Longevity before leaking is main issue. Must constantly adjust to stop air leaking. Wakes one up on occasion. I see that others have made same/similar comments. This issue needs to be resolved and or addressed.

I have used my machine for about 2 years. It keeps running out of water on med (3) setting and the dry air wakes me up. The machine also makes a different noise when the water gets low and drives my husband crazy. Any idea what is wrong?

I've used this for about 1 1/2 years and I'm completely satisfied with it's performance. Very quiet when running. The humidifer (50 Series non-heated tube) works like a charm as well. A lot folks don't realize that the room humidity level effects the performance of the machine's humidifier. Keep this in mind. Very much recommend this machine!

I have had this machine for six years without even a hint of trouble. It's very quiet and no one will be bothered with it. I have used it in demanding situations where objections would have been easily made and LOUD. I never had one who had to sleep in the same room with me. It stopped by sleep apnea and SNORING . . . immediately. I haven't snored a snort since. There are a gazillion masks you can use, but the cheapest one I found 2.5 years ago is still working fine! I don't use Phillips mask and never did like the several I tried. You will quickly learn how to position the mask to keep it from "leaking" and if there is anything wrong with this machine, I couldn't tell you wha it is. I love it. I used to stop breathing 67 times per hour, and snore like I wanted the whole world to hear it. AWFUL! I use it even if I'm only taking a nap.

This is the 2nd CPAP and I've had it at least 4 years.A quiet and efficient system. Only use water chamber when I'm sick with cold, bronchitis, but love this machine. Light and easy to travel with.

Mine is about two years old and started failing a few months ago. At this point, it is useless and I am told (by Medicare) it is out of warranty and I must pay to fix it. My provider has not been overly helpful. I believe I was given a 'loaner' when the first unit they gave me failed right away. I think I will buy my own and not be forced to take what (Medicare) gives me.

I've had mine for just over a year. Flawless. My only problem is the face mask leaking and keeping me awake. Not the machine's problem. Like it much and know it is very good for my health.

Have had mine for 2 years and have no complaints so far. I just got diagnosed with sleep apnea 2 years ago and this is the 1st and only one I've used. I have two residences and I am going to order another one for second residence.

I read the one review on this site. Not my experience--mine works just fine.

Used the machine for 4-1/2 years. I find it to be on the noisy side. My biggest issue is that it isn't controlling my AHIs even close to enough. I'm running about 10%. One day last week, it was over 25%. I've probably had the machine "adjusted" over 3 dozen times. From running high pressures to low pressures. So is it the machine, or my doctor? Simply not happy.

I've had mine for 7 years and it's never been a problem. I use it every night, all night, in varying humidity conditions. I want to get another so I have a back-up for when this one finally does stop working. I have to have one to sleep, and I don't want to get caught without it because my insurance decides to drag it's feet.

Had mine for years, an early System One I believe. Always worked fine for me, masks were an issue years ago, but after years of not using it because of other medical issues, I am back on track. The new masks seem more pliable now and as soon as my numbers come back, this will go back in service, assuming I can't get a new one.

Have a Phillips Respironics REMstarPRO M series - In the middle of the night it simply fails to blow air leaving me suffocating. Called the manufacturer regarding this defect, and they were unwilling to provide a non-defective replacement. They also claimed that they had no reported issues --- but judging from other internet reviews it appears this unit is not the only one with the defect.

I've had this CPAP machine for 5 years. It has worked wonderful all these years but it finally died. I don't think five years of using it every night all night long is a bad service record. Now my worry is that I won't get another machine as awesome as this one.

I have been using my PR system 1 since 2012 and it is only now starting to be troublesome. It will often start making a high pitched whirring noise upon exhale, oh well after 5years of nightly use, time for a new one. Like others say the mask that this system uses does have a slight leak to it but it has no effect on the results -a great nights sleep.

I got mine about 1-1/2 years ago, and about 6 months ago it started sounding like I was in a wind tunnel. After that it started making a high pitched sound. I'm getting rid of it. It's possibly the worst machine I've ever had.
